It’s been quiet here - last week I worked on the MMS Kickoff Challenge over at E1KD. While I had intended to blog here every day, I ended up not having much time for blogging.

I didn’t get anywhere near my goal of 20 Mini Money Sites up over the course of the five days of the challenge (I built 6 MMS, and 6 Adwords mini-campaigns for each of them - three have now been deleted because they were not showing any action). And at the half-way point of the challenge, Google raised all my bids, so I was sitting there with a whole bunch of inactive keywords. That kind of put a damper on things.

But I learned so much through it all. And even after my keywords got hit with those high bids, and I knew I wouldn’t be able to meet my challenge goals (although I guess I could have just kept on building), I still continued doing the research and refining my templates. It turned out to be a good thing, because after a few days, Google lowered my bids back down again.

I also found that with the MMS method, I am more focused than I normally am. Also, working on MMS is quite addictive.

So I’m truly going to kick off the new year with a new challenge - my 100 MMS Challenge.
