Over at DoshDosh, Maki has posted an impressive list of 40+ Social News Sites. The great thing about this list is that it doesn’t include just general social news sites. There’s also a section specifically for niche social news sites.

Scanning through the list just now, there are several which are applicable to niches I’m currently working in, and a few more which will come in handy for sites I have on the drawing board.

This list is a work in progress. I’ll be updating it with new sites over time and I plan to include my own opinions of each site when I have the time. Right now, I’ve only written a very brief description of each site along with their niche focus.

I think this will be a great resource for me in upcoming months.

Edit: Okay, a few hours later, a ton of feeds later, and now I have another list of Niche Social Media Sites, from Tropical SEO bookmarked. This is an older post, from before I had the Tropical SEO feed in my Google Reader, but luckily caught this post about the most recent additions. The main list has a total of 38 niche social media sites - and growing!
