I woke up this morning with a bit of a revelation. I was writing an article in my mind (two different articles, actually) for one of my sites (I do this a lot) and it was about taking action and focus.

As it happened, it turned out I was really writing the article for me.

I’m a real believer in attracting success. When I look back over the past three years I’ve been online, I see that I’ve come a long way. I have a moderate share of success, and considering the fact that my most successful sites became that way through no systemized way of thinking on my part, I can say for a fact that I’ve done well, all things considered.

I’ve always approached my online adventures with a light touch. My offline business is a real money maker - just tedious at times - and so my priority with my online sites has always been to have fun with it.

Personally, I believe that success co-exists very happily with a fun, light touch. It’s true for me offline, and it’s definitely true for me online.

But it occurred to me that if I could develop a good part-time income online while retaining the fun and a light touch, but without really applying too much focus, how much more could I accomplish with a bit more focus?

So today, I’ve been all about focus. The thing is, I know a LOT about marketing online. I just haven’t been that great at implementing everything that I do know. I talk a lot about searching for a system or a blueprint but the reality is, I already have access to a ton of blueprints and a ton of systems. Ones that do work - I know they work because I personally know people using these blueprints and systems, and they work for them.

There’s something about the new year that is very motivating. Not only is 2008 going to be my year of promotion - it’s also going to be my year of focus.

Focus, that is, with a light touch, and an eye on fun. My own personal brand of marketing.
